The NEW&IMPROVED
jubchuQun Subscribable Lists

Hello and Welcome!
The purpose of this page is to explain
what the jubchuQun
Subscribable Lists are... AND what they are NOT. There are only two
such lists at present. One is the "RecipePals"
list and the other is the "PicturePals"
list. For information on how to subscribe or UNsubscribe, click
here.

FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS....
What is a subscribable List?
A "subscribable list" is an email
distribution list that you may subscribe to without human intervention.
If you send an email to this list, your email will be distributed to
the list. You,and everyone onthe list, will receive a copy of any email
sent to the list.
Does it cost?
Yes and No. There is a cost associated
with maintaining the web hosting service, but I pay for it. There is
not cost to you! If you are interested in securing your own web hosting
service, I recommend visiting Jack's web site at PWX
for detail.
Will it cost ME?
NO... I provide
this service at my own cost ... just for the fun of it and as a social
activity. My cost is not affected by whether anyone participates or
not. I have already paid my fee up front.
How many participants are
there?
At the time I write this, on August 4,
2003, there are 24 subscribers to the PicturePals list and 34 subscribers
to the RecipePals list. It's a small community, and I know most of the
people on both lists personally. I hope that will change in time, but
(before you ask), "no" ... there is no profit in it for me.
Just the fun of it...
Will I be subject to advertising
and/or spam?
| I am happy to announce that with my
new hosting service which I began using in December of 2004, I am
now able to moderate and block ALL email posted through these distribution
lists! This is fantastic as I am now able to keep ALL SPAM from
plaguing my users! SPAM should be blocked 100% ... but if you DO
receive any such junk e-mail, PLEASE notify me and I will put a
stop to it! |

What if I want to UN-subscribe?
Previously, with my old system, you had
to ask me to UN-subcribe to the e-mail lists. However, my new
service allows you to subscribe OR unsubscribe without my involvement.
See below for the link to this function.
(And "no" ... unsubscribing does NOT add you to some mailing
list! ... at least not in this group.)
