The annual Zamenhof Banquet wil be at 5:00pm on Sunday, December 16th, at Corwin's Bar & Grill, 9200 Olive Blvd. Each person may pay separately for their food. Everyone will also need to be $5.00 for their 2008 club dues.

Due to my personal schedule and lack of participation, I have decided to postpone future editions of the EASL Newsletter until such time as it can be managed more smoothly. I think it is a great idea, and I want to see it grow and continue; however, we something to print and time to print it.

We will meet to eat dinner (for a Conversation Group) on Friday, January 6th, at the Wild-Oats cafeteria on Ladue Road at the city-limits between Clayton and Ladue (one-half mile east of Interstate Route 170). As usual we will meet at 6:00 p.m.
The club meeting will occur on Sunday, the 15th of January, at half past one p.m. at the University City Public Library, room 2 at the top of the main stairway. We will meet until half past three.

Any interested person (including anyone over ten years of age) is welcome to attend Ron Glossop's class to learn Esperanto, the designed world language, on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks from January 9 to February 13 (including a meeting on Jan. 16th - Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday).
The class will meet at the Non Profit Development Center (NPDC), 425 Spencer Road, St. Peters MO 63376, about 1 mile southeast of Mid Rivers Mall. For directions, contact Ron Glossop at

A $20 donation is being asked to cover the cost of the hand-outs to be distributed, but it can be waived for those who are students. There will be no books to buy.
